African Women Care
African Women’s Care is a registered charity, which was established in July 1998, to effectively alleviate the suffering and trauma of BME women, girls and children.
Our Mission is to provide support services and empower BME women; girls and children living in the UK reach their full potential.
AWC provides support to BME women and their children who are experiencing or threatened with Domestic Abuse as well as delivering a wide range of health related support services targeted at changing perceptions and mind-sets among BME families.
Our services are delivered by trained staffs and volunteers who will work with you on a one to one in our offices or arrange to meet up with you at safe location. We understand the various challenges faced by BME women and their families and provide non-judgemental support regardless of sexuality, immigration status, physical and mental health to families living in Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea or Westminster. We can also support African women, men and young people experiencing domestic abuse living anywhere in London.
If you are experiencing domestic violence, we can listen, help you understand your options, explain your legal rights, talk to the police for you, help you get to safer housing or even attend court with you.
